"Star Trek V: The Final Frontier" is a highly watchable film which features a much greater reliance upon rollicking humour than we have become accustomed to during the more recent adventures. This humour works for the most part and William Shatner seems inexhaustibly determined in his new role as director to include as much eye catching action as he possibly can into the running time - he really delivers the goods in this regard - and he easily evokes the spirit of the ground breaking television series.
