David Mitchell was fantastic in the comedy series "Upstart Crow", a light hearted, often insightful and extremely funny, re imagining of the life of William Shakespeare. "Ludwig' offers Mitchell a platform that's eccentric, intriguing and often clever but barely funny. This series hold together extremely well as a crime drama with complex puzzle, sleuthing overtones but I hardly found it amusing.Showing again and again, how Mitchell's character can't park a car but can solve complex crimes, is an interesting contrast, for example, but its not chuckle worthy on any level.
