Like the ill fated "That '80s Show" this is likely doomed for failure and for the exact same reasons. The show spends a lot more time making fun of the technology and culture of the era than it does actually developing characters and a story line. There are only so many jokes you can make about "This is what microwaves used to look like," and "Remember Bob Hope, he was a thing," before it gets stale.
